Lesion Induced In Vitro Models

Lesion Induced In Vitro Models

QPS Neuropharmacology offers a diverse range of cellular models, including primary neurons and transgenic/non-transgenic cell lines, to accurately mimic the pathophysiological processes associated with various diseases. These models provide a controlled environment, facilitating the analysis of individual pathogenic mechanisms and associated proteins.

Leveraging our expertise in generating precise and reliable models, we enable comprehensive research into the intricate pathological processes underlying a wide range of diseases. Despite Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease models, we offer cell culture models for several other neurodegenerative disorders such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Huntington disease, lysosomal storage diseases , e.g., Gaucher disease or Niemann-Pick disease, as well as other neurological conditions, for instance stroke or pain.

To ensure the robustness and relevance of our cell culture models, QPS Neuropharmacology established standardized protocols to induce specific lesions. These lesions can be generated using for example proteins or specific chemicals that enhance or reproduce disease phenotypes within the cultured cells. Lesion-induced cell culture models available at QPS Neuropharmacology offer several advantages, including speed and cost-efficiency.

Emerging strategies aimed at finding treatments for neurodegenerative diseases through gene or cell therapy are highlighting the necessity for suitable in vitro models. These models are crucial to evaluate the efficacy of these therapies prior to conducting in vivo experiments. QPS Neuropharmacology is equipped with a BSL2 laboratory enabling the testing of various gene therapy techniques. Moreover, this setup offers the flexibility to induce lesions using viral vectors or other gene delivery methods.

QPS Neuropharmacology is committed to meet your specific research needs. We gladly offer customized cellular models upon request, tailoring our approach to address unique scientific inquiries and experimental requirements. Disease-relevant readouts are optimized for specific assays, however additional quantifications and assays can be added upon request.

The following lesion-induced models are available at QPS Neuropharmacology:
